Are you using glass as a partition?

Actually, I used plexiglass. I had my little Physics major son help me plan the best approach for the water vs. soil pressure.
Honestly, I think the snowball started because i was too overzealous. I wanted her in her tank so bad that I did not wait the requisite 48 hours for the aquarium sealant to cure before adding the pressure of the water and dirt.

Anyway, here's two pictures - not the greatest. One is a top view of how the plexiglass was set up; the other is how it looked for the first few hours :(

It's OK, though...I'll live with a yucky bin for now - - I have grand plans for her ongoing non-nesting environment
and, when I set that up, trust me I'll wait 48 hours for the sealant.
Another line entry in my lessons learned book.

Silicone does not adhere well to plexiglass or acrylics. It might hold initially, but not for very long. You'll need a different divider.

LOL - yeah! I used the stuff they use for building tanks (All Glass aquarium sealant).
After that little escapade I tossed 'fancy-pants' out the window and found my 'better divider' - the ding-dong bin with dirt in it (weights on the bottom to hold it down).
Not pretty, but at least it doesn't collapse.

However, I am now on a mission!
I saw some awesome vivariums online! and I want one!!!!!

River tanks are pretty cool too and there have been a few nice planted tanks posted in the forum.

I'm looking forward to the build thread :) Maybe I should jump on a 55 gallon next time Petco has their sale.

Yep. Find one the manager is dying to get rid of - that's how I got my 95 gallon - started out at $600, no one wanted it, so it was dropped to $300, still no takers, so after 3 months we got it for $150 :)
so find the thorn in their side...they may be pretty cooperative.
Have to build up some of the "Penelope Fund" first , but I WILL HAVE a beautiful paludarium - goal: within a year :)
