Stupid question about the "moss balls", I bought one ONCE and gave it to Pickle and he tore it apart, the problem was it was like Styrofoam inside! It was just moss wrapped around a floating foam center, and it was held on my fishing line! I hadn't realized this until he tried to eat it! I never got another because that didn't seem safe AT ALL. Am i missing something? Are the moss balls some posters are talking about different?

Whoa! That's not at all what I have. Mine don't even float. They're just like the name implies, little balls of mass. I squished them and they felt like squishing doughnut holes.

I think you got a knock off moss ball! LOL. I had researched them before for an aquarium, like untsmurf said they're supposed to be a moss that just grows in a ball shape, they sit on the bottom. You're supposed to be able to cut them in half and they will "heal" back into 2 balls.

What about making a moss wall? I think I saw one of those that would work if myturtles didn't try to eat it i guess
