Is that a wood or steel stand? It looks way to skinny to support the weight of the tank.

I have always been under the impression that humidity is bad for turts because it can lead to shell rot if they cannot dry out their shell completely. (Do not mean to be alarmist).

Wow I just noticed that!! In one of the first pictures it looks like it may be bowing

It's a steel stand. From the angle of the shot, it does look like it's caving but it's not.

I worried about that stand from the get-go. It's the one that I got with from craigslist. The guy that gave it to me had never put water in the tank but the stand was always able to support it without water so when I brought it home I filled it up day by day and added some cement rocks to it to make sure it would hold and now one month later it's still going strong.
