Yup.. That I like.
If you do an image search for the xp3 it does look like it comes with a verity of plastic bits. But at this time I am reminded what my dad told me... what you bought that and you don't like it... well modify it. So if you don't like the style of output it gives... make something better.

Yup 1 way to go I think it would help a lot with those particles that always end up floating around! I am always a big fan of having 2 filters rather than one. More overall filtration though a greater amount of media. I am not sure if 2 xp3's have more filterable media than 1 xp4 but I am guessing it does.

ya i think im gonna go with 2 Xp3's 1 at each end of a 6 1/2 ft long tank outs blowing to opposite sides of tank cant go wrong with alll that circulation better then 1 Xp4 and hell 2 Xp3's are the same exact price as 1 Xp4 with only change difference

There you have it! I was actually thinking of doing the same thing with the Eheim 2215's as I can buy 2 of those for 30bucks less than a 2216.

Yup I did see the tank you are setting up. I am also planning on making a tank when I leave Japan and get back to Canada I plan on making a big one as well so needless to say I am keeping tabs on your build.

only costing me $233 for the glass and to buy a 150g at my petstore is 525 wich is the cheapest i found other then ordering off the internet and paying an extra 300 for shipping wich is even mooore cuz they sell the tank for cheap and get u with the shipping and so if i custom build it wich i think a little shorter but longer is alot better ne ways

I have dome some research. I also sent a friend out to price some tanks. For the size I want it was closing on about 1000 bucks. But then tank prices in Canada seem to be ridiculously inflated. I know a guy that works at a glass shop as well so maybe I can buy him a case a of beer and then I can use his staff discount
