What stores are 100 percent selling eggcrate? I've looked in lowes and home depot and found nothing. I looked on Ace and found some but for 80 dollars for five. I live in new jersey.

i got mine in Home depot. It was hard to find but they had boxes I could pull just one out of when I finally found it in the lighting area. It costs about $10.

If they look confused when you say eggcrate then try asking for light diffuser.

blue flamingo, there is no such thing as a dumb question. And what else would I be looking for? Of course, I'm looking for help. I have looked in lowes and home depot, even on the website, and found nothing. I did see some on Ace's website, but it was 80 dollars for a carton. Where are you guys finding these 10 dollar ones?

It's in the lighting and electrical department, and they're called fluorescent light diffuser panels.

Erm, guys, my home depot didn't have any either. They told me so, but only after i searched the lighting section top to bottom, and then went through EVERY isle in hte store. and Damn, are home depot's HUGE! Not all Home Depot's have it, but you should definitely ask, with the fancier name I think someone else mentioned above. I just recently FINALLY found mine at a local "mom and pop" lumber store.... random find ;) otherwise, you could always order them online, or get someone else to do so for you! Good luck!

i got my eggcrate at home depot. they looked at me crazy when i asked for eggcrate and light diffuser lol. but we finally found it. it was actually in the section where they have all the wood, in a big box. and it was about $12 for one sheet. i'd imagine there's gotta be other places to find it. good luck! :)

I went looking for eggcrates yesterday. I didn't see any at Lowes but I got some help at home depot and found some sheets there. I think they were $12 here and they were in the lighting section for me too. At the very top right corner of the store :) I haven't bought one yet because I'm still trying to figure out how to cut it. Anyone know btw?

I've always found it in Loews a few aisles down from the lighting department. It's on the same aisle as the air conditioning filters. Always thought it was a weird place to put it

I usually use a pair of wire cutters to cut it but it doesn't break off evenly, I've been trying to find a way to make clean cuts as well. :?:

My brother works at a Lowe's here on LI -- he reports that it is sold there. If you weren't able to find it on your own, as others have said, ask someone that works there where you can find it. It seems to be in different departments hahah.

Good luck on your hunt!

ive always just used wire snips to cut it to size. the ends may be angled a little but its not a big deal to me. if it really bothers you though you can always sand it down or use a dremel to cut it to size

I just found some at Home Depot in Houston, I cut it with a hacksaw and sanded the rough edges. Check out any local hardware store or possibly a lighting store since I found mine in the lighting section, thanks to the help of another member. And there are no stupid questions believe me because I've asked them all already. Let us know if you find some otherwise I'm sure someone can suggest an alternative!
