Habitat - Indoor :: lighting mounts

Does anyone know of a good model of lighting mounts for a strip light? It has been resting on one of those mesh screens on the top of my tank but I really hate that setup. I don't want to buy a completely new strip light because it was a small investment but I can't stand having the mesh on there anymore. The light is about 4 inches short of the tank going longways and I don't want to risk it falling into the tank by just resting it on top short ways. The light is very much like the one in the following link. Any ideas?

I have mine resting across the width of the tank. In other setups I've used 2 strips of glass (from the glass tank covers of smaller aquariums) and laid them across the width of the tank. Then I take the light strip and rest it across the 2 glass strips (place the glass far apart enough so that the ends of the light strip rest safely on them).

If they're what I'm thinking of, I've seen black mounts sold at an aquarium shop. Is there a shop near you that you could bring the light to?

just tried that today. no luck... i live right next to a home depot so i'll fashion one myself. good thing i'm handy like that
