I put a pleco and few fancy guppies in mine. The guppies lasted about 20 seconds and the pleco lasted half a nite. I think he only lasted that long because he could blend in with the rocks and the turtle didnt know it was there.

lol well I could tell he is a male since male platys have a curved anal fin and females don't. Sunny is a nice name, though.

The turtle will end up eating the fish if there to small. I suggest getting fish that are bigger than your turtles head that way your turtle can not eat them.

getting biger fish will just mean the big fish would die a slow painful death. The turtle will take chunks out of it everynow and then...

Post Posted: Mon Jun 04, 2007 3:42 pm   goldfish lasted 3 years!

I just saw this forum, and it made me laugh so hard because your turtles love fish!!

i had a goldfish in the tank for 3 years when the turtle was around 3-4 inches and lasted for that long. one day my mom decided to put a beta fish, and the next day both fishes were dead.

just wanted to share mystory, thanks!

Yup, you never can tell what's going to happen from one day to the next when it comes to mixing turtles and fish. :) Welcome to the forum, by the way! :D
