If I have an XP2, how often should I clean the filter? When I used an internal filter, I wash it once a week. But that filter is very small. Now the XP2 is so big. Does it require cleaning as often as the small filter? Thanks.

I don't know if an XP2 is very different, but i have a Fluval canister filter and i usually clean it once a month, it's dirty but it never looks like it's overdue for a cleaning. As long as you're changing the carbon at the proper times and the flow doesn't seem to be reduced you should be fine. Unless you have a very dirty turtle there should be no need to clean it every week.

sounds good to me.
Rockie used to poop after his daily meal in the feeding container. however, in the past week or so, he doesn't poop until getting back to the tank. so the bottom of the tank is having quite a lot of poop. if it is in one piece, i'd be able to pick it up but if it's been step by Rockie, it's all over the place and i can't pick them up. >_<

As long as your tank size is adequate for the size of your turtle, once a month or so should be fine.
