here's a pic w/ the bg. it's a great deal easier to get clear non-orange pictures when i have the uvb bulb in. i have to switch them out for now, i do that about 2 hrs before it's due to go off. hopefully i'll have the funds to get a 2nd clamp lamp next cheque.

i raised the water level so i could use the filter, and just have the basking area/filter area covered. their little legs aren't big enough for them to grip the sides and climb out. yet. they haven't really made any type of effort to, though.

yep yep great setup you got there... dont forget to post some pics of that above tank basking area you are considering making :)

my brother-in-law is good with carpentry, i need to call him and ask for the best and cheapest materials to use first. but i'm really hoping it happens sooner rather than later, which it's looking like right now :( that lamp incident broke the budget. i will definitely be building it soon, though, i want to keep the water levels up as high as possible.
