Habitat - Indoor :: algae?

i havent gotten around to cleaning my take for a little while, maybe two weeks.

algae has started growing on the plastic plants and apparently my turtle is eating it.

it cant be bad for them is it?

Nope, it's fine for them to eat.

Is it green algae? Is your turt eating just the algae or the plastic plant too? (and I would remove it if that were the case)

The green algae that's usually found in tanks isn't harmful, and I think actually makes the tank look more natural. My res has it on his corkbark. I'm wondering how your turtle is able to eat it off the surface of objects, though. The kind I'm thinking of covers the surface like a moss would (but it's not moss).

oh well one of the plants in there is kind of spikey and the algae forms almost like, a web and he picks it off.
