Habitat - Indoor :: Not a heating but rather a cooling question

I've just recently bought a heater to keep the water at 80 degrees and all yesterday and last night it did an awesome job of just that- but today it got really hot in the bedroom because it got really hot outside and the temperature is up to about 83-85 in the tank- what can I do considering October came with no fall like weather along with it and now it's causing my room to heat up which is causing the water to heat up as well?

I've had that same problem happen during the past few days. I used the suggestion given here by Missi or Jen (don't remember who). I have several plastic bottles that I cleaned well, added water and froze. When the tank water is too warm, I drop in a couple of bottles and it brings the temp down.

I agree, just take out some warm water and add some cold water. It may be an inconvinience to keep doing this but at least you wont have to clean as often. =]
