FYI, that was just 240 long, starfire glass, 4' turtle condo, and stand.

I still have to get a second fx6 and find a company to set it up.

why not just set it up yourself? That's the most fun part for me! setting up my tank and building stuff for it / landscaping. I love it! It's more personal that way I think

By set up, I really just mean delivered and set on the stand.

You could have tried a local LFS, there's one by my house it's actually pretty cool and they have all sorts of tanks! for 2k you could have gotten a hell of a deal. Also some used big tanks in good condition go really cheap. I saw one it was 180 gallons with stand it was just a little dirty that's all all it needed was some cleaning and maybe some paint on the stand. they were selling it for $400. You cant beat that.

I looked on craiglist, but patience is not a virtue that I have. All I found were 220 talls, and this website said to get long not tall.

Yes you need long. Hopefully everything will be fine how are your turtles doing?

We lost 2, to the mvb, but the other 2 seem to be very happy and healthy. I believe that Leo is actually lea, as she is almost twice the size of mikey.

yes I remember, mvb's can be deadly if you don't keep a safe distance they will cook your turtles. I use mvb with no issues. Always have a thermometer to monitor the temp. If you don't have one then make sure the distance b/w the platform and the lamp is at least 1 feet. I remember when I initially got everything I placed it too close but I was constantly watching the turtles and as soon as I noticed something was not quite right I moved it up and placed a thermometer right away.
