Habitat - Indoor :: A long over due upgrade:D

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

Hi all, Finally Toku gets the space he needs. I grabbed a 150 gal tank this afternoon. It came with a stand and even 4 bulb T5 light system!!!! These should improve the lighting issue I was talking about. Plenty of LUX from these babies. I will post a build thread and a add all his tanks from the plastic storage bin to this tank. I'm so happy for Toku, he needed this.

So I have two FX5s, two 300w heaters, and obviously the MVB bulb. Now, I just need more sand and bigger driftwood. Then I should be all set. I'm gonna put the tank in the same spot his 40 gal is. I just have to shift the bed over a bit;) I'm super stoked about this! Heres the tank in my living room;

There is a funny story behind this actually. I just log on and was writing a new topic about Toku's colors and patterns really starting to become vibrant. Then my wife calls and says "is the 150 still on sale?" and I was like "yeah I think so why?". Then she says "if you can get a truck to move it go get it!", as soon as I hung up I was on the fone asking my neighbor if he was around and then ten mins later we took his truck and grabbed the tank;) I didn't even shut my comp off or log out of turtle talk. I came home and my post was still up, half written lol.

Sounds like a keeper.

Congrats!

I've been watching Craigslist. The 55 gallon should be fine for a while. Toby's not quite 3". But if I see a great deal....

Oh yeah she is. She doesn't like to admit it but she loves Toku, lol. Thank you. Craigslist is great. But I was fortunate to not get this setup from craigslist. I got it at a local store for lets just say really cheap.

I would hope she's a keeper. That's his wife. xD

Seriously though, congrats! That's a huge tank and one really lucky and loved turtle. :)

Lol jwinters, she is a great wife, Toku and I are very lucky;) Thank you, I'm getting excited thinking about how I'm gonna design the new Driftwood basking platform. I got about 6 pieces of wood to work with.
