I'm upgrading to a new filter (70G tank, one male RES) and I'm stuck between these two. Is the newer 406 worth the $35 or should I just get the 405? I'm not trying to spend a fortune, but I've heard a lot of good things about these filters.

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Neither will properly filter a 70G turtle tank. See this thread for sizing of turtle filters: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=30145
