^^Great idea! I will definietly have to check out the yard sales. ;) As far as upsizing, absolutley. The heater I have now would have to go if I went bigger than 30 gallons but I suppose that's not a terrible loss. The docking station is a good size at the moment so it will allow me to put more fun things in the tank for Sheldon. I really appreciate all the help.

I figure the bigger the filter, the better for everybody. I mean the water will be cleaner longer and Sheldon likes to swim against the current for good exercise. lol

Oh I don't view the feeding outside the tank as bad. Trust me. I just don't have the capacity to do so, except on the weekends. Sheldon does the cutest little thing whenever I enter the room. He follows me around and swims at the tank wall. Such a cutie. :D

No such thing as overfiltration. The only concern with smaller tanks would be too much flow, fortunately, the FX5 allows you to adjust the flow rate. Also for heaters, there is no such thing as too much wattage, but you need to make sure that the heater will fit inside the tank, higher wattage heaters tend to be longer.

Right now what I have works for the tank. I will probably have to upgrade the heater when I upgrade the tank. The one I have is great but I figure for a biger tank (like 55 gallons), it wouldn't do the job.

The FX5 sounds like a great piece of equipment.

Thanks PridgNYC. :)
