Hi, i am looking for a new tank for my three turtles. I found one for $400 for a 150 gallon tank and a metal stand. I think that is a rip i offered him $200, what do you think? Also he already drilled it for sumps. Is there a way to plug this up?

Thanks

No. Pass on the tank if it's pre-drilled. A tank with sumps works great for a marine tank.. not so well for a freshwater setup.

It can be plugged by putting bulkheads in the drilled holes and attaching a PVC plug to the bulkheads. Why bother... it's ugly, potential to leak... etc.

For a drilled system to work, you need to have an overflow which means surface skimming. In a turtle tank, the bio waste we are trying to remove does not float... it's on the bottom of the tank. A regular ol' canister filter with an intake near the bottom is your best bet.
