should i get worried? i ve 2 turtles one is a female that i've had since the last 2 years she's big now and i brought a male who is quite smaller around 5 or 6 cm, anyway the tank is big around 80 cm wide and filled with 40 cm water... i ve a filter but no heater since i live in dubai, the room tempreture is around 25-28 C... they are basking for like 5 hours or 6... the large turtle is more active than the small one... i have plants that r eatable in the tank with also commercial food and worms... the small turtle is basking more than the large one and her eyes are closed, i quess that she's eating, i've put her in a seperate tank and gave her food but she ate alittle is it normal for females turtle to be more active than males? and is it normal for big turtles to be more active than the small ones? and is it normal for the small turtle to close his eyes sometimes? and is normal for male young turtles to bask more than the old female turtle?

If they are only 2 years old, their gender will not play a huge role in their current size, unless grossly overfed. If they were the same size when you acquired them, it's likely the larger one is simply outcompeting the other for food.

How big is the 'female'?

At that size difference, they need to be separated. You also need to take the water temperature, you can't go by room temperature.
