i thought the turtles would eat them?

it depends on what fish you add. normal slow fish will usually be eaten. I have had very very good luck with cichlids like convicts, jack dempseys, stuff like that. they are very pretty fish and they will fight back if the turtle trys anything shady...and dont worry, the fish cant hurt the turtles if they bite them lol its pretty funny tho.

I would love it if my guppies lasted a few days.

My first batch of guppies lasted more than a month because Luffy and Ninja couldn't catch up, they were still on their first month of life. When they got bigger and faster, it was a different story. Last new batch I added lasted one night. Surprisingly, I still have 2 goldfishes left. I bought them as my champions (test dummies) when I first set up my tank. They're still alive today. My turtles probably don't like eating them.

well its now tuesday morning and suprisingly i still have 3 guppies!! they chased them when i first put them in but the guppies are too quick, my turts are roughly ged 1 for the female slider and roughly 2 for the male false map
i couldn't resist picking up some bronze cory's when i went passed the pet shop today. just got 2 to see how they go but its been a good 7 hours and they are still there and the turts are showing hardly any interest in them, even when they are swimming right in front of their noses

Just wait. The turtles may decide they are edible after all. Spike has kept "pet" minnows for a few months, or even a year. Then they just disappear one day.

Yeah, Luffy and Ninja don't bother with new fishes for weeks then one day when I wake up, one is missing. Then later they're all gone.
