Habitat - Indoor :: Suction cups ?

Hi, we just adopted a RES from a neighbor and were lucky all supplies were given to.

Problem I have found is the lower suction cups on his basking platform will not stay attached to the tank.

Any suggestions? Eventually we'll probably end up stacking rocks like we have in the past with other RES but for now we see him get stuck, which scares me.

try cleaning them, usually works for me

I bet you can find replacement suction cups somewhere.

I had my kids wipe them down some but I'm thinking I better go do it again & maybe a little better. ; )
If that doesn't work, I'll look for replacements.

Clean it with warm water. If it is the hard plastic kind, you might need to bend it a little. If this suction cup stays above the water line, clean the surface that it will go on with rubbing alcohol first.

What you meen he gets stuck?

RES have been known to get trapped between the bars of ZooMed docks. That's why some people flip the bars so they are mostly out of the water.
