Habitat - Indoor

I just found this online and thought it would be nice to have and a lot easier than trying to build one. It sits on top of the tank and has an enclosure for basking. says it fits tanks up to 55 gallons. Does anyone have experience with these? Are they worth the $40-$50?

If you dont mind spending the $50 get it. I built my own and after that i would just rather spend the money on the turtle topper

Like tammi mentioned, it has been discussed many times.
The result? if you don't mind spending $50.....Get it.
If your handy, the possibilities are endless with that kind of money.
My personal opinion? Waste of money.

Personally I like it. My RES is pretty big (8") and can use it. If you don't want to build anything yourself then it's a good purchase. I have a handy boyfriend yet bought one.

I rather be safe then sorry. (since he doesn't have any experience building something for an animal that might try biting a chunk out of it, which my RES did try to do to the turtle topper).

Dont have any experience with the turtle topper, but from the videos and pictures I have seen, the opening only looks big enough for a 4 or 5 in turtle. My two big female RES dont look like they would even fit in the opening.

I think it's actually going to be a bigger pier. It would be great if it is a bigger turtle topper though.

ya lol i think its more maybe going to be the topper not that it wont be the peir because people have been whanting a bigger topper sense they made the small one
