Habitat - Indoor :: Best glue or best way to attach fluval intake strainer

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

What is the best type of glue to use to attach the input strainer on a fluval setup?

Hey guys, our two wonderful turtles are growing and we just purchased a nice 125 gallon tank for one of them. We'll keep one in the 75g tank we have already. Anyway, we got some fluval pumps with the tank and the input strainers will most likely get knocked off by our turtles. What is the best way to attach them so the turtles don't knock off the strainer? Thanks for your input.

I cut a little piece of tubing as lining so that the strainer can fit closely with the pipe.
That way, it's hard to knock off or even detach.

I used a bit of silicone to stick mine on. You just need a skiff on the tube, since the strainer should be a snug fit. Just make sure you let it dry for at least a day.

i swapped all my hoses for the monster dishwasher hoses, it's a friction fit that's hard for me to pull apart. i have the rena intake so it may be different. i can't imagine my big dude getting stuck but for a little guy it would be an issue.

What are the monster dishwasher hoses? I'm getting rid of the Fluval stuff, I purchased some new XP3's so all my filters are the same (plus I think Rena is better than Fluval, simple and easy to use).
