Hey, im doing a bunch of research on what lighting to get for my new setup, but light descriptions never seem to do justice compared to actual reviews from the people who use the products. So curious on which lighting setups? brands? are the best of the best? Thanks.
Pretty much as newb as they come.

Here's what I think:

Best lighting of all for RES is morning sunshine.

For bulb that can give out heat and UVB, use 100 watt MVB.

If you want a probably cheaper solution, go with UVB and regular household bulb
(not the coil one). I read recommended UVB is Exo Terra Reptiglo 5.0 26 watt.
RES - Ramen <f> (51/4")
RES - Heine <f> (43/4")
Asian Leaf Turtle - unnamed <m> (53/4")
measured at Nov 24, 2012

Hey kemul. Thanks for the opinion! Im not after cheap here, i want to know what everyone thinks is the best of the best. Even if its just a dream. I have been looking a lot at getting a MVB. Any suggestions on brands everyone likes? I know morning sun is best but unfortunately i have to deal with it being below 0* for about 4 months of the year

For MVBs, the Mega Ray or TRex are considered to be the best. Reptisun fluorescent tubes are also considered to be very good. I don't have any suggestions for compact fluorescents, but Reptiglo and Reptisun seem to be leaders in this field.
