FX5

currently i have a fluval 205, do you think it would be a upgrade worth it, i plan on upgrading to a bigger tank probably a 75g in the future.

well coming from the fish aquarium side of things an FX5 might be a bit extreme, its flow rate is 600Gal an hr, on a 20Gal your turning over 30 times an hr, thats a little much, it would be pretty turbulent, on the 75 it would be better for sure, then your about 8 times an hr,might still be a bit turbulent but not as bad, i have an FX5 on a 125 for fish and its not too bad for turbulence. There is a definitely noticeable water flow in the tank still. I dont want to make too many opinions on turtle as im pretty new but im sure a larger turtle would do fine against the flow but a small guy might fight a bit as when i put feeders in for my bigger fish they struggle at the surface to not be blown around but the bigger fish have no problems navigating. I will be running one on my setup when i build it, and when the turtle gets bigger i will prob run 2 on the 200Gal. just because of the turtles higher requirements on filtration.
Pretty much as newb as they come.

With a 75 gallon, a fluval 405 or cascade 1400 is enough. An fx5 would def be better, but i would not hook it up to a 20 gallon.
