You know whats funny Steve and other people have posted this about you but you rarely if at all post pics heh. Also, that stand sounds pretty nice.

I'd offer advice but I had my boyfriend build my stand, so I can't really say I saw much of the progress step by step. But, we did use t squares to perfectly match up the 2x4s when we built the frames.

But I didn't go as far as to cover it with sides and a door, it's just the bare bones frame, but it's very sturdy.

Well my frames are pretty much perfect now compared to how they were before, now its just am atter of adding the legs, supports, paneling etc.

what i meant by upside down being easier was that on a leval surface it's easier to keep the top flat. no real advantage other than helping to keep the top all lined up.

Got the new Band Saw yesterday, kinda been wanting one so figured [!!!]... may as well get it and use it for the stand project. I was gonna use a Jig Saw for the legs but I dont have the steadiest of hands / patience to do the cuts needed. Anyway, it's got a laser for guding that lines up just outside the blade so you need to cut the inside of your line. It also has a small LED worklight thats kinda nice. Anyway, just wanted to share that with you guys because having this will now make the rest of this project a breeze.

I kinda finished with the legs and supports today, Still got two supports to cut but multiple supports to screw in. Anyway, Since I had the legs done I stuck everything together (left unscrewed) to get a feel for how it's gonna look when I'm done and this is what I got so far. Keep in mind it's still a work in progress as I need to finish adding two other legs and some supports as well as screw it all together since right now it's being supports by its own weight.

Thx one thing I'll need to do though is alot of sanding once it's all screwed together since the legs dont exactly sit flush with hte outside of the stand. Other than that best I can tell its liek you said, really comin together and looking great

Well, I went ahead and screwd everything together minus 4 upright supports I still need / want to put in for that added umph since we are talkin alot of weight that is to be placed on the stand. Anyway, here's a few pics I took of how it looks all put together minus the extra supports I still need / want to add. Even after I add the remaining supports in I will need to do a bit of sanding to smooth some things out / make the posts flush with the frame work. Anyway, enjoy the pics and please comment

Here's two pics of how I screwed all the corner posts into their respective corners...




Lastly, here's where you'll see that some of my corners are a bit weird because of how I cut the posts. But I'll just jam some shims in there to fill those minor gaps... and yes before you ask out of concern the posts still fit in nicely its just that one cut was made a bit longer the the cut on the opposite side of the post if that makes sense heh.
