I have a 55 gallon tank, filled pretty high, like 14 inches usually. The turtle dock as a basking area, no above tank basking area, dont have room for it. turtle is about 6 inches, so i dont have a whole lot of room to spare for extra stuff. my tank is bare, completely plain, nothing in the tank but water, the rena xp3 tubes and my turtle dock. anything to add to the look? or anything

If you want to add some greens, anacharis is a good start. Get one bunch and
it'll grow quickly.

You can also get a bubble wand (and air pump). Most turtles like to play with the
air bubbles.

Or, you can put sand (refer to the sticky written by ChrisBarnett). That'll really
change the tank's atmosphere. To a good one, I mean...

I'm not a fan of putting rocks, after several attempts myself. Because they'll trap
debris underneath, making the water dirtier. (And because I'm rather lazy to
clean the debris) :P

you can get some fake plants. if you get real plants they will be eaten before they even get a chance to grow usually
the airstone is a good idea. fun for turtles and it keeps the water oxygenated and prevents an oily film from getting on the surface.
sand will probably make the biggest difference in your tank.
river rocks do trap debris but if you just have a few it shouldnt be a problem
