Ok, here goes, I hope I can get these pics on here ok.
Image

Basic set up with 1/2" plywood, 2x2's, 2x4's, duradeck vinyl used for sundecks. Cut outs for filter system hoses.

Image

Frame in place over cement block supports.

Image

Pond in place, leveled, adding plexiglass on one side and most of front (back against wall so didnt add there)

Image

removable side piece makes for easy access.

Image

Side piece in place, exit ramp added (Vinyl coated plate rack from wall mart)

Image

All done! Lights suspended from 2x4 with powerbar on the back and has a stainless rack screwed to the bottom to hold the lamp that has a ceramic heat bulb and the other clamp lamp is for the UVB bulb. Installed a separate GFI plug in for filter, and ebo jagger heater (250 watt) that seems to hold temp. at 72/73 at most right now. Lookin good...get Fred!

Image

Image

"Hmmmm this must be the lake!"

Image

1/2 hr later...almost ready to dive in.

Image

mad swim to the exit!

Image

No problem getting out!! Later removed vinyl from exit "ladder"

Image

"Ahhh, leg tan!"

Image

"WOW, satellite TV!! Turn on Animal Network!"
Well folks, thats it!...now we'll see if it appears here??

Very nice setup Wendell. That's one of the nicest stock tank set-ups I've ever seen.

Thank you for your comments... Im really glad I finally got this for Fred (asked for it for Cristmas and hubby made it!), and it really wasn't expensive for the stand..just the filter mostly. He is just loving it!

That is a neat setup! I have a stock tank so I may go that route instead of buying a larger tank for my turt. Thanks so much for the pics!
