Just wanted to let you all know that I got a 130 gallon aquarium, a UVB strip light with bulb, and a stand off of craigslist for 50 bucks. The tank is huge. It is 3 feet wide by 3 feet tall by 2 feet deep. It is almost too big for my apartment. lol. It is definitely a big upgrade from Squirts 30 gallon tank. I am also getting a Fluval 404 canister filter from a guy on there for 35 bucks. He also said he'd give me a good deal on a heater big enough for the tank. Once I get everything set up I'll take some pics and put on here. i just wanted to brag about my find. lol

Wow what a find! I've never gotten lucky finding things on there when I need them. For some reason whenever people are selling tanks around here they're asking for waay more money than I'd be willing to pay for a used tank. Good job, don't forget to give us some pics when you're done :D

yeah I'll get some pics on here. I wasn't even looking for a new setup at the time, but when i seen this on there, I knew I had to take it. She had quit a few people interested in it too, but I guess I was the one with the heaviest right foot. lol.

hahaha, I know how the heavy foot thing goes. Thats how I got my 55gal, there was a bunch of people emailing him seriously about it, but they wanted to offer less than 250 for all he was selling, and I was like I'll give you 250, pick it up in a couple days. He went for it and told everyone else it was sold.

Nice! The craiglist where I am doesn't usually have any tanks :/
Just a heads up on the UVB light. If it's out of the package, you won't know how old it is. Usually UVB lights last a year or less.

I have two female red ear sliders.
Chimpy - 5.5 inches
Chompy- 6.0 inches
Both were born about 7/2007
Got them -- 9/2007

Gotta love those great deals!! Good for you. FYI, just discovered that solid wood old TV consoles make great aquarium stands and if you chuck the burnt out tv tubes you have great storage underneath! I would add extra support where the tube was tho. Cant wait to see the pics!
