Swlin, I believe its about 30 gallons.

Marisa, it will not crack if there is something used as a support between the two containers. It works great for me. No bowing whatsoever.

arisu, what do you put in between the two bins? I just bought two rubbermaid bin yesterday. they are 189L. I want to make sure they won't crack.

hey swlin,
I lined my bottom with sheets of cardboard and some styrofoam balls for extra support. you don't have to limit yourself to these materials tho, anything flat and relatively sturdy will do. measure the gap difference first and plan ahead- if you have them stacked and filled, it'll be too late to alternate or tweak it without emptying the water.
