So I came home to find that my turtle had kicked one of the tubes loose that connected to the part that sucks in the water. So the filter had been trying to suck in air for who knows how long.

Now it wont work.

What can i do???

You can probably just but a replacement motor.

Although that is a bit pricey. Try contacting customer service?

Is it still under warranty?

Call Rena up and see what they can do.

If there was still water in the canister, it might not have been completely dry. Can you re-prime and see if there are any issues?

When my fluval 404 ran dry and I burnt out the motor I took it too an electronic(tv's, vcr's ect) repair shop. They replaced the motor for $20 :)
