Habitat - Indoor :: is my tank too warm?

Simply put, i keep the temp at around 78 give or take....i cant seem to get the temp right on my heater since its a pretty cheap one, but they seem to like it a bit warmer...is this ok?

Yep!
People will say that 80 is too hot, but I've found my turts are most active when the water is right around 78.

actually, If your turtle is a hatchling you would want it around 80 to boost the Immune system.. but if its around 4 inches then it would be better around 75-77F. If you have troubles cooling it then freeze a water bottle , and just let it sit in the tank.

personally i had this problem all summer with leo his water reached temps of high 80's the water bottle trick really does work but its only a temp solution best thing to do is get a larger tank smaller tanks heat up quicker
