I have undersized filter but i am going to change that soon, I am going to make the DYI filer that is a sticky on the page. Right now I am just worried about the turts drowning.

That Tank is so big and they are so small .

Anything else you guys think I need from the picture.

How large is this tank? How many turtles do you have? What size are they? The DIY filter on the sticky may or may not be enough.

I think it is like 58 or 60 gals. two 1 1/2 turts .

what are the meausrements of the tank? take the length, width, and height of the tank, multiply all three, and then divide by 231.

Since 3 inches of turtle isn't that much bioload, if you do two of the diy canister in parallel powered by a 300 gph pump it ought to be sufficient. Just make sure to put good biomedia in! That's the most important part.

Also, to reduce the frequency of required water changes, you might try to figure out how to put plants in the tank so that they won't get eaten by the turtles.
