Habitat - Indoor :: yet another sand question

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

I have a question to add to the sand novel. Since I live in the Land of Sand, I was wondering if I could use well washed desert sand. I could heat it in the oven to kill any live organisms prior to washing.

I don't see why not, but i would boil it rather than bake it.

if you have any further questions, refer to the sand FAQ thread at the top of this section.
