Habitat - Indoor :: Why does my tank geet so dirty so easil?

I was wondering why my tank gets dirty so easily. It starts to looks sort of cloudy in just a day. It's a 10 gallon tank with many feeder fish, a Koi fish and 2 turtles. Could it be because of my bad filter? or could it be because I feed food(Pellets and fish flakes) inside?

thats a very small tank for all those animals. what kind of filter?

It is small but it is just temporary. Also, the filter is a Tetra Whisper Power Filter if that's what you're questioning about. It came with the tank because, like I said in another post, someone bought the wrong tank for me.

It gets dirty quickly because there are too many animals in the tank!
It's too small for the fish to start with, let alone with two turtles in it. You could have a huge filter for the tank but it still couldn't keep up will all that waste.

If it's a temporary setup, I would suggest getting a large rubbermaid container for the turtles. You can get them for cheap, and they go up to 50 gallons. You'll still need all the turtle stuff (filter, basking area, lights, etc), but it'll give your turts much more swimming room. You can keep the 10 gal for fish if you want.

Too many varmints and too little water. You need a much larger tank and filter. Without knowing all the particulers I would suggest a 55 gallon with a 350gph canister filter. By the way turtles like to eat fish. M.

get a rubbermaid ive had mine since jan, and its held up fine, if you the the rubbermaid, you oculd put the feeders in with the turtles
