Habitat - Indoor :: Any Kind of Sand?

Hello all, new to the forum so i apologize if this question has been answered already.

I want to lay some sand down for my tank and was wondering if it was okay to use general purpose white desert sand purchased at home depot. I washed it out 7x before putting in the tank, but was still curious. . . thanks!

how fine are the grains?

if you washed it out that many times it shouldnt be that bad.

i know that quickcrete sand is good.

i personally have play-sand from homedepot and its pretty nice

Yeah, thats completely fine. Remember to post pictures when you finish it!

Def will post pictures, however its quite basic compared to some of the setup's I've seen on this site.
