Habitat - Indoor :: Stainless steel

Hi guys new to the site...im a stainless fabricator and was wondering, apart from the "it will cut him" aspect ( which i can fix )..is there any other reason as to why i couldnt put stainless steel in Humphreys tank?..id love to make him something.

I would have to think not as we as people both cook and eat off of it. And if there were any ill effects than we would not use it for such things.

What are you planning on building

Yeah that was my thought...not sure maybe a ramp to his basking area or an under water rest point...i think it would look cool in polished stainless.

Hmm, I supposed it's doable but I'd be worried that the material would be too hard, especially if Humphrey crashed into it.

I would think that as long as all the edges were smooth and would not cut or scrape, then it should be fine.

The glass is as hard as the metal is as far as the turtle is concerned i would think.
