Habitat - Indoor :: Closed Loop System?

I am looking for big aquariums on craigslist, and i found one that says its drilled for closed loop systems, what does this mean, and can it be used for turtles?

It means that they have taken a little space out in order to drill a couple holes in the back of the aquarium, and closed that part off. My 75 gallon is that way, and it has been fine. You could even use it for your filter intake and output, kind of like it was intended, if you have an aquarium that sits on a cabinet or table. You can see it in there better now that it's Hannibal"s home.

Interesting. so this can be used to hook up a canister filter, and it will function properly>

It should. think in the usual salt waer set up there would be lots of other stuff running in and out too, but I would think a canister filter would be perfect.
