I think most people avoid tall tanks, so I'm not sure you'll find many responses for the same tank.

Because turtles are more likely to swim horizontally than vertically (less exercise in a tall tank is what that means!), so in a tall tank it's likely that 10 gallons per inch of shell length is swayed.
Science rules.

It will be ok for now, but now changes rather quickly with growing turtles, and if you keep buying tanks to suit them "now" instead of for future growth, it can get rather expensive.

I bought a 70 tall. I just didnt have four feet of floor space for a larger tank and wanted to get as many gallons as I could. I will post pictures soon. Just havent had time in the past few days. My turt is still tiny (2"). He loves the space, especially since I put the basking platform on. He doesnt bask, still! but it provided some shelter and privacy. So he likes being underneath it. But I have wondered if he is a little disoriented. He doesnt seem to find his food as well as he did in the smaller tank.
