Habitat - Indoor :: Lola needs her nesting area... any of u done it?

I haven't seen any pics with nesting areas... I don't plan on breeding but I'm concerned Lola needs to lay eggs and doesn't have the proper area... she's been trying to escape like crazy and has been having an aggressive attitude towards Boris. I've separated them for ever... but need to help her out...

I've never personally made a nest site so I don't have any suggestions, but I know that females can be very particular so you may have to try a few different mediums before you find one Lola likes.
You can also gently palpate in front of her hind legs to see if she has any eggs.

Yes. thanks... I just wanted to know if any of you experts have done this since it seems that it's so common... I've read about it already but would like to see one .... can't quite think of where to put it so I don't have to take her out on my own...

Right... I had already checked that site... I guess I can make her basking area have a sandy bottom... that way I don't have to break my head on where else to place her nest.

I have a friend who had several tubs of plants that were accessible to the turtle. She didnt plan on them being nesting spots but just happened to have them planted near by a turtle pond she kept. One of her females, laid eggs in the potted plant container. She was surprised to find several hatchling crawling out of her plants one day. Since hers were outdoor I think she had the luxury of being a bit lax in planning. I wouldnt try this indoor though.
