good job. I wish I could use fake plants to decorate. my girl tries to kill everything and im sure shed end up eating alot of it. nobody else here seems to complain about that though. thanks for the step by step. time consuming construction but now that youve finished your set and you can enjoy knowing shes got a comfy pad

very nice. are the rocks in bottom of tank glued to tank or just loose? same question for plants ? (inquiring minds wants to know lol)

Nice one! A lot prettier than mine. Are there slots holding the front brace or is it just glued? I thought of doing that with my ramp but I didn't think it would hold up.

Sloted & glued. Also left enough plexi to make a stop to keep the platform in place when I cut the rear side support. Its just a little nub at the end of the support.

That tank is wonderful. How do you glue the rocks down is there a special glue i need to get? I think I would love to copy your idea if you don't mind? :?:

Pick up some aquarium-safe silicone. And make sure you work in a well ventilated area!

Awesome set up, nice job and looks likes a lot of hard work. Kudos to you!

I'm setting up my basking area and plan on taking your tank as my model... please help me out so I won't harm them by using the wrong material... :lol:

that tank is really cool! when i make a bigger setup for mine im going to try to do something similar that is a really cool setup!

oh and did you make the glass thing at the top where the basking spot is?

A lot of silicones contain chemicals you don't want to have in your tank. You can pick up small tube of aquarium silicone and you won't need to use a caulking gun.
