Habitat - Indoor :: How much $$$?

Oh, I got a turtle in September, upgraded him in January. Here were my costs:

40 gallon breeder - $100
Rena XP3 - $125
Filter media - $25
Lighting - $70
Heater - $20
Tank liner - $10
Rocks - $35
PVC platform - $35
Soap dishes - $8 (make really good underwater platforms for smaller turtles)

Total, somewhere around $400-500. Which is why the lesson learned is, NEVER BUY A TEN DOLLAR TURTLE!!! I wouldn't trade him for the world, but that's the lesson I warn all of my family and friends now.

hard to have a turtle in new england - all the good prices are no where near here! - and craigs list -people are just dumb sometimes
