I am a new, two weeks now, res owner. I know that they must be in water to eat, but if anyone can share with me what they find the best method to feed them outside of their main tank. Water gets to murky when feeding them in primary tank. I found this site and love it. Alot of great information here. Thanks!

A lot of people use smaller tanks, or plastic tube full of water for feeding their turtle. Just make sure the water in the tub is about the same temp as the water in the tank. Some turtles are fine with eating in a "feeding tank", some are a little reluctant at first. If you're having water quality issues, you may want to look into a bigger/better filter, or even a bigger tank if your tank is too small.

I have my old 20 gl tank still when I bought my 50 gl tank. I was thinking about using it, but need to get a heater and set it up with some water.
Plan on doing this starting today, but wanted others opinions or ideas to help me out. The new filter I bought with my new tank seems to do an ok job, the pet store owner said it is what they use, but not a name I have seen or heard. Thanks for the help.
