Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum. Sadly I'm taking over my brother's job in taking care of his turtle, Quinn. I am needing some suggestions on how to make his home more homey. Right now its blah and he doesn't have everything that he needs.

If you could post some pictures of your tank setup or just email me I would be most grateful! I'm really interested in seeing some of your DIY basking areas. As I can't really find anything commercial that will work for Quinn's size. We've got some big rocks but I hear its bad on the tank's bottom and really it isn't set up right for him to be able to bask on.

Hi and welcome to the forum! I glad to hear Quinn has someone to look after him.

Here's a thread with lot of pictures of homemade basking platforms:

There are others too if you look through the Photo section.

On tank setups, there are many great examples in the Photo section, plus there's a gallery just for indoor aquariums here:

Here's a link to basic equipment, including brand names and prices.

I know you'll continue to have lots of questions, so feel free to come on here and ask away.

THANK YOU!

This is all extremely helpful. I hope I'll be able to give him the rightful home very soon.
