This product has come up a couple of times recently - it must be new on the market. It sounds like a neat idea but there isn't enough info out there that can be compared to the standard light setups to make evaluation simple. I haven't been able to find where the percent UVB provided is spelled out, for instance, in terms that the other UVB bulbs use. It says "high UVB" but what does that mean? If it's 2% for a 14 watt bulb, then that's too weak to do a turtle any good. If it's 15% for a 26 watt bulb, then it's too high. Just can't tell.
I'm not sure about the halogen bulb either. Have you seen anywhere what the wattage is? Some people on here have used halogen bulbs and might know how to evaluate them - but I'm not one.
When the bulbs that come with the fixture wear out (and the UVB bulb, at least, will have to be replaced every six months), do you know how easy it will be to get replacements? The bulbs are an odd shape.
These are more questions than answers, I know. Maybe someone else on here has better information. If it were me, I wouldn't spend $70 on a product unless I were sure it met my needs.
