Habitat - Indoor :: Indoor Pond Idea

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

So sometimes i come up with some wild ideas. For my latest idea i started to think up a indoor turtle pond/coffee table! I was thinking i would use a large stock tank with a box built around it. Then i would use some plexi class to cover the top of it. and incorporate the basking platform on the top some thing to the effect of this http://www.redearslider.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14835

but more cosmetically appealing. What do you guys think?

Sounds cool if you can pull it off. Make sure they can breath while they are just sticking their heads out of the water, though.

You might want to talk to Grey Goose; he's thus far the master of homemade awesomeness.

il-21 -- When planning your inside pond please keep in mind that water weighs 8.5lbs per gallon and on occasion you will spill water and where will it go? That is 850 lbs for a 100 gallons of water plus tank, pump, etc. Just a thought.

Yah i know how heavy water is. I thought about it. Its going on the basement floor, concrete. So im not worried about the weight too much.

Thanks for the reminder though.
