How can i tell which is which? Ive been trying to get a new aquarium from Craigslist and have found some nice big sizes but i'm not sure if they are the right ones for what i need. Poor turtle is still living in a 10g aquarium. Ive seen 100g for 150-200$ Any suggestions?

Usually a "breeder" tank is wider and not as high as a standard tank that hold the same amount of water. Either would be fine, just get the biggest one you can for the $$. Anything would be better than a 10 gal anyway!

Well, theres one guy selling a show tank thats 60g. but its acrylic...not sure if that would be bad with the heat lamp. He recommended a better tank, said his was a show tank.

yea anything would be better then the 10g... just get the biggest one you can find for what $ you have and what space you have in ur house

Acrylic is as heat resistant as you would need it to be, i have an acrylic basking platform with the heat lamp shining right on it and it's fine. The problem with acrylic is that it scratches easily during cleaning, and potentially by turtle claws. It is lighter and more durable than glass though.

How large is your turtle now?

As everyone else mentioned, you'd be wise to buy the largest tank you can afford now. You're wise to search on craigslist, a lot of people find good deals there. Don't forget to look in your newspaper classifieds too.

Also, another economical solution would be to buy a stock tank. Or, for the time being, you could buy a rubbermaid storage bin. They aren't made for water but make perfect temporary turtle homes and would give your turtle the extra space it needs until you can find a good tank.
