every light i get for my 5.5" clamp lamp they wont work... if i put in a normal light from my lamp it works BUT every light i get from the petstore wont work in it. i turn it on and the light flickers on and off and sometimes comes on but still only stay on for like 1 min tops... why?

I would try getting a new lamp. I use a Flukers and I have no problems with and Heat bulbs or uvb or putting a regular house bulb in them.

You probably have something wrong with the fixture. Just get a new one and everything should be fine.

ok this is random but it is now working fine with no problems and has been for about 10 mins so i hope it stays working

I would say maybe there was some kind of short or something along those lines.
