Habitat - Indoor :: basking area inside the tank

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

I know everyone likes trying to allow more space for their turtles to swim and put a basking area outside the tank but I cannot do that because the tank is going to have a screen on it. What are some ideas that people have done with basking areas inside the tank? I am looking for something a little more substantial than the zoomed floating dock. Thanks

If you do a search you'll probably be able to find some nice ideas.
One that comes to mind is grey goose's tile basking area:

I think a few people have made frames out of PVC and attached a tile on the top of it, that may be an idea as well.

you can always use a screen on an above tank basking area, just remember if you put ur uvb/uva light on top of the screen make sure its at least 1/2in other wise it blocks the uvb, even 1/4in mesh will block uvb light up to 30%

Did someone say PVC and tile? Here's an old pic of mine...

It's inexpensive and will last a lifetime.
