Habitat - Indoor :: bleach question

I just got a 30 gallon tank and stand for Moxie and scrubbed it and rinsed it with dilute bleach. It was about 3 teaspoons of bleach to maybe 2 gallons of water. I rinsed it thoroughly a couple of times, then toweled it dry. How long should I let it dry before filling it? I know people usually say overnight but I did this at 7 am, do you think 12 hours is long enough? I'd love to be finished with it.

PS I'm super excited about this tank...I've been compulsively hunting craigslist for the last month and finally found a reasonable price! Moxie's in a 20 gallon right now, so once I get her into the 30 I'm going to fix up the 20 (the rim isn't technically 'attached') and upgrade Shenanigans!

Can you smell any bleach? Are there any "wet spots" left in the tank? It not, I would think it would be ok to start setting up!!! Can't wait to see pics of everyone in there new homes!!!

I think you should be fine. The rinsing carefully is the most important part.

In addition to what others already said, once you fill it back up, drop in some de-chlorinater ("water conditioner") which will help get the rest of any bleach out of there.

FYI - Bleach is the same as the chlorine that is in tap water...that's why the water conditioner ("Reptisafe" or whatever brand you want to use) works in getting rid of any leftover bits in the tank.

That's a really small amount of bleach and the concentration would be really diluted. Rinsing well and 12 hours of air drying should be fine. Use some dechlorinator, as industrial_girl said.
