We made Maya a new Basking area! Here are some pictures! Please feel free to give any suggestions on how to improve it. We are fist time owners so we want to make sure we do not leave out any important details.

The fact that she's using it so quickly must mean she really likes it :-)

My only concern would be whether she can walk from the ramp off the side of the tank... that's an easy fix by extending the side of the box a few inches with a sheet of plexiglass or something.

Other than that, nice work!!

Very nice! It's a very good sign that Maya knows what to do right away. I agree with Meg, though. It looks like she could fall off the side but it's a fixable thing.

What did you use for the ramp for Maya to get up in the area?

Oh that looks nice! I agree about making sure she can't get out, but that's an easy fix. It's nice to see her happily basking. It looks like she's had a really rough start in life, she's so lucky to have you :D
