Habitat - Indoor :: Plants and tank set up

My baby RES Buddy that I have had for about a week and a half is awsome!!! He loves the rock waterfall he gets into it or will bask on top. I have a basking rock out of the water on the other side of the tank with the UV light above that. My question for everyone is, What are the best water plants to put in his 150 gallon tank? Any preferences do's and dont's??? Help

Anacharis is a very good choice. Turtles like to eat it an it's good for them. It's inexpensive which is good because you'll have to replace it pretty often.

I intended to post a similar theme, so I'll ask in this one.
Can anyone tell me of other suitable plants? I mean plants that turtles won't eat I thought of hard leaf plants which don't need much light such as Anubias, Microsorum pteropus, Cryptocoryne and maybe Vallisneria. Anyone tried to use any of these plants in a turtle tank? And is there at all a plant that a turtle won't eat?

Turtles will eat any plant you add to the tank, so you should stick with ones that are known to be healthy for them. If you want plants for decoration, buy fake aquarium plants.

One of the other people on here says her turtles won't eat hornwart, which is good if you want the plant to live in the tank and not get eaten. I think I heard that they are less likely to eat anything with "...wart" in the name.

Some turtles, however, will probably love to eat hornwart - they have their individual preferences.

Well I'll try putting some live plants and we'll see. At least a fresh snack I use the Latin names of the plants and I don't have any idea which are ***wart Whatever, thanks anyway!
